Nestled in the vibrant heart of south-central Louisiana, Guidry's Catfish, Inc. greets you with the warm hospitality synonymous with our Cajun heritage. Since our inception in 1975, our family-owned business has been dedicated to cultivating and providing the finest U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish.
Our Story:
From Bayou Beginnings to Industry Innovators
It all started with Bobby & Debbie Guidry’s vision, a couple with deep roots in the community, who saw the potential in the humble catfish. With hands and hearts devoted to the craft, they began their journey—trapping, and eventually processing the day’s catch in a small, bustling 20’x20’ building.
Their dedication to research and development in those early years laid the foundation and ultimately led to the discovery of another source of catfish that was not wild-caught. In 1976, our founders saw an opportunity in the farm-raised catfish industry, this discovery set the stage for the thriving business we have today.

Our passion has guided us from a small, family-run operation to an expansive enterprise, employing over 400 dedicated individuals and operating out of a 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility.
Despite the undeniable changes, some things at Guidry’s will always remain the same; Our dedication to excellence is unwavering—every catfish product we produce is a promise of quality. We continue to offer consistent, premium U.S. Farm-Raised catfish products at fair prices. Our relationship with our customers goes beyond business; it’s a trusted partnership built over decades.

Our Future:
Guidry’s Catfish is growing!
Our new, state-of-the-art production facility will be completed in 2024. This 55,000-square-foot expansion will house several production lines capable of custom coating and packaging, as well adding par-frying options.
This expansion will open up new markets and opportunities for us, allowing us offer new and/or improved current products to our customers.
